Cookies
A short list, and a real choice. No advertising, no cross-site tracking.
What this site can store
We group storage into three categories, the same ones you see in the consent banner:
- Necessary — always on.
harness_sessionkeeps you signed in to the account portal (first-party, essential, cleared when you sign out), and a small record of your consent choice. The site can’t work without these. - Preferences — optional. Remembers your light or dark theme and your language between visits (the
harness_themeandharness_localecookies). - Statistics — optional, off until you allow it. Google Analytics 4, which counts visits so we can see which pages help and which don’t. It sets
_gaand_ga_<container>in your browser, which last up to two years, and sends your visit — page address, approximate location from your IP, device and browser — to Google. We do not enable Google Signals, advertising features or cross-site tracking, and we never send your name, email or anything you type into a form. With the same consent we also load PostHog analytics, which receives the pages you visit; it stores nothing in your browser — no cookies and no localStorage entries.
Your choice
The consent banner
On your first visit a banner asks how you’d like this handled. You can Allow all, Deny the optional categories, or Customize and toggle Preferences and Statistics individually. Necessary storage is always on because the site needs it.
We don’t load analytics until you allow the Statistics category. You can change your mind at any time with the Manage cookies link in the footer.
