Licence & activation
One licence covers Harness on one PC. The key arrives by email when you buy, and activation ties it to the machine that does the work.
Overview
What this covers
What the licence includes, how activation works, running Harness on more than one machine, and what changes if the updates and support plan lapses. For prices and refund terms see pricing and the refunds policy.
How it works
How it works
The licence is a one-time purchase for one PC. The software keeps running on that machine and the work stays yours.
The updates and support plan is what brings new features, model updates and support. Pause it and Harness keeps working exactly as it is — you simply stop receiving updates until you resume.
Each machine gets its own licence and its own separate worker, so two PCs never share state or history.
Step by step
Step by step
- Buy the licence — the key is emailed to you straight away.
- Install Harness on the PC that will do the work.
- Paste the key and activate.
- Check the licence status screen shows the machine you expect.
- Store the key somewhere your team can find it later.
- Add a second licence if a second machine needs its own worker.
Common problems
Common problems
- The key is already active. It is in use on another machine. Deactivate there first, or use a second licence.
- The PC hardware changed. A major hardware change can invalidate an activation — re-activate with the same key.
- Updates stopped arriving. The updates and support plan lapsed. Harness carries on as it is; resume the plan to get updates again.
- The key was lost. It is in your purchase email and on your account; contact us if neither is reachable.
